Back Henry Draper Observatory - Hastings-on-Hudson, NY

The Observatory Cottage in Draper Park, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, built about 1860, was the site of the first photographs of the moon. The project consisted of interior renovation of the original cottage building and a climate controlled archive addition which The Hastings Historical Society uses for document storage and exhibition. The addition has an all steel frame with cast in place plaster light cove under the roof lantern.
